Frogmore Leisure Centre’s major refurbishment project is due to start this month.
The centre, ran by Everyone Active in partnership with Hart District council, is introducing a number of improvements in the coming months. The £400,000 project aims to provide a better experience for members by upgrading the centre’s facilities and adding new features to extend the current offering.
The improvements include a new dance / group exercise studio with virtual classes. This will increase class spaces by 540 each week, allowing new and existing members to further benefit from a new group exercise programme.
Frogmore Leisure Centre’s gym will also be refurbished, with the space being extended by 1,333 sq/m. 14 pieces of state-of-the-art fitness equipment will be added along with additional gym equipment including skill mills, skill bikes, sledge and track and X2 power racks.
Crèche users will also benefit from upgraded facilities at the centre.
Luke Charlton, Contract Manager at Everyone Active, said: “Frogmore Leisure Centre remains an integral part of the community and we’re excited to build on this by offering access to new and improved facilities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
“What’s more, our membership prices are staying the same so members will soon enjoy a range of upgraded facilities at no extra cost.”
Commenting on the upgrade, Patricia Hughes, Joint Chief Executive, Hart District Council said: "We are delighted to be able to undertake this upgrade work at Frogmore Leisure Centre. Our residents’ health and wellbeing are paramount, and we look forward to extending the range of services we can offer at the Frogmore site for the benefit of all users.”
The works are due to be complete at the end of March 2020. To celebrate the project completion, Everyone Active will be hosting an open weekend of free activities for the whole family to enjoy. A number of exclusive offers will also be available during the refurbishment and over the open weekend.
