Hart District Council is working in partnership with the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce to host a new exclusive business breakfast for businesses across the district.
The ‘Meet the MP’ event will hear from guest speaker Ranil Jayawardena MP where he will be covering a range of topics such as education, Europe and the economy.
Speaking about the event Ranil Jayawardena MP said: “I’m delighted to be invited to take part in this joint event. It’s a great opportunity for me to engage with local businesses and further, update them on matters being discussed in Westminster and most importantly to hear their views.”
The buffet breakfast event will take place from 7:30am until 9:00am on Friday 17 March at the Elvetham Hotel, Hartley Wintney. Tickets are £25.00 for Chamber Members and £28.50 for non-members.
Cllr Ken Crookes, Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Hart District Council, said: “This event is just one of a range of new initiatives we are delivering to local businesses. The economy is one of the Council’s three priorities and we are continuing to develop our economic development offering to support local businesses. I look forward to hearing Ranil Jayawardena’s update and meeting local businesses at this event.”
Stewart Dunn, Chief Executive of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce said: "This is a great opportunity for local business to discuss with their MP, Ranil Jayawardena, the many challenges facing organisations. Small business is the lifeblood of the economy yet some of the key issues such as Broadband connectivity, future business rates, skills for the future together with the uncertainty of EU nationals remain unanswered. This is your chance to ask your questions about the future. The Chamber will also be there on hand to help firms on business support and international trade assistance."
