Cllr Sharyn Wheale, Chairman of Hart District Council, has announced her charities for her civic year.
The four charities have been chosen in conjunction with the group leaders from each political party represented by the Hart District Council councillors.
The four charities are:
- The Base Youth Centre in Hook - The Base provides support and social interaction to the local community, with a wide range of activities on offer.https://thebaseyouthcentre.co.uk
- Men's Shed in Church Crookham and Fleet – The men’s shed offers a space where men and women can share the tools and resources they need to work on projects of their own choosing at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive venue. www.ccandfmensshed.org.uk
- Victoria's Promise - Their mission, starting with young women ages 18 - 45, is to make certain that every individual going through cancer, is provided with personalised support and treatment services that best increase the chance of survival and quality of life. www.victoriaspromise.org
- Vision for Youth - Vision 4 Youth is a charity based in Yateley, that provides Youth Clubs, Services, training, and employment in Yateley and the surrounding areas. www.vision4youth.org.uk
Speaking about the charities, Cllr Wheale said: “I’m delighted that collectively we have chosen four charities that provide vital services for a whole range of residents within our community. I look forward to my civic year and raising funds for these truly deserving charities.”
