Attract more business by sharing your sustainability journey

If you've already started making your business more sustainable, take every opportunity to tell your customers, partners and suppliers. This could include:

  • listing accreditations such as ISO 14001 and B Corp Certification on your website

  • setting out your plans for carbon reduction and operating more sustainably

  • giving examples of how you off-set your emissions and work towards carbon neutrality

In this way, you’ll show customers, partners and suppliers that you share their environmental concerns and values. That should make it easier for them to do business with you, particularly if you have accreditations they're looking out for.

If you want to think more widely about your company’s place in society, give some thought to corporate social responsibility. This is wider than sustainability and the environment. It also takes in philanthropic, social and economic responsibilities.

It’s an approach that helps businesses be transparent and socially accountable to employees, stakeholders and the public.
