Features
Elvetham Heath nature reserve and adjoining open spaces have been given a prestigious Green Flag Award.
The site covers approximately 64 acres of public open space, consisting of heathland and woodland. Other attractions include:
- a children’s play area
- duck pond with picnic tables
- an informal recreation ground with pine woodland
- cycle tracks
The reserve has excellent pathways and boardwalks over the wet areas making access easy. All gates are suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles.
Please keep dogs under close control when in the gated areas during grazing times between March and mid-September.

Cows return to Elvetham Heath
Our cows are now grazing in the north section of the reserve. Both the north and south section are open to the public.
Please adhere to the signage on site and ensure:
- all gates are closed
- dogs are kept under close control
- dog waste and litter are put in the bin
- cattle are not fed or touched

Path closure
From 30 July 2024, Thames Water will be carrying out pipe works onsite which require the closure of the path route in the Northern part of the reserve shown on the map.
The rest of the reserve will remain open.
