Find a lost dog
If you have lost your dog and think it may have been collected by our dog service, please visit www.lostdogsuk.co.uk and select Hart District Council from the drop-down search box on the right.
Details of found dogs are uploaded to the website within 24 hours.
How to reclaim a dog
If we have your dog, you can reclaim it by calling 03444 828300 (7 days a week, 8.30am-5pm).
You will need to provide:
- proof of your address (e.g. a utility bill) and
- proof of ownership (e.g. kennel club registration, family pet photo, vet bill)
You will need to pay the fees for collection and kennelling of your dog – please see our environmental health fees sheet.
