Blocked drains
If your drain is blocked, you will usually know because:
- your toilet won’t flush properly
- your sink or bath won’t empty properly
- gutters or drains on your property will overflow
- there will probably be a smell
You should try to locate the blockage. Ask your neighbours if they are also affected. If more than one property has the problem, contact Thames Water customer service on 0800 316 9800.
If only your property is affected, and it does not share a drain with a neighbour, it is your responsibility to get it unblocked or repaired.
