Hartland Village, developed by St Edward in partnership with Hart District Council, has achieved double recognition at the highly esteemed LABC Building Excellence Awards 2024.
The development was honoured with the award for Best High-Volume New Housing Development, celebrating the remarkable transformation of the former 200-acre Ministry of Defence site. This ambitious project is evolving into a thriving new community of 1,500 homes, complete with a village centre, primary school, traditional village green, community hall, shops, and dining venues that foster local life and connection.
Additionally, Hartland Village received the accolade for Site Manager of the Year, a testament to the exceptional standards of workmanship and site management. This includes rigorous attention to health and safety protocols and maintaining an immaculate construction environment. The award reflects the dedication and expertise of the entire team involved in bringing this project to life.
The LABC Building Excellence Awards are highly regarded in the industry, with winners nominated by LABC warranty risk management surveyors based on their inspection visits, which occur throughout the construction process.
Paul Vallone, Executive Chairman at St Edward, expressed his pride in the achievement:
"We are thrilled to receive these prestigious awards from LABC, particularly as they come from impartial industry experts dedicated to upholding safety and high standards across the sector. This recognition is especially gratifying for our on-site team, whose hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail have been central to the success of Hartland Village.”
Hart District Councillor Alan Oliver, Portfolio Holder for Development Management said:
“Hart is recognised as a fantastic place to live, and we’re pleased to be able to work with developers like St Edward to deliver projects for those who want to call Hart home. Hartland Village has also delivered a new 70-acre country park for everyone in the district to enjoy, and it’s good to see it recognised by these awards.”
