Frogmore Leisure Centre is gearing up for a £350,000 gym transformation, set to bring state-of-the-art equipment and modernised facilities to the Yateley community.

The project, funded by Everyone Active, which operates the facility in partnership with Hart District Council, will take place in January 2025.

The investment at Frogmore follows a similar successful upgrade at Hart Leisure Centre last year.

Every piece of gym equipment will be replaced with new models from industry leaders Life Fitness and Hammer Strength, while the facility will also introduce a broader range of strength training options.

Among the new additions are more free weights, cable machines, plate-loaded resistance machines and specialised equipment like a hip thrust station and more power racks.

The improvements will also include new contemporary décor, modern lighting and upgraded flooring to create a more inspiring environment.

The cardio section will also be completely revamped, with cutting-edge machines such as SkiErg, arc trainers, air bikes, watt bikes, cross trainers, rowers and HD performance treadmills.

Alongside this, a new relaxation zone will be added, equipped with massage guns to aid in post-workout recovery.

Kevin Wallace, contract manager at Everyone Active said “Frogmore Leisure Centre is an integral part of our community and we’re excited to move forward with this transformation. We know our members are eager to see these improvements, and we believe this investment will offer them a more dynamic and inspiring space to pursue their fitness goals.”

Hart District Councillor Richard Quarterman, Portfolio Holder for Corporate Services said “Following the successful upgrades at Hart Leisure Centre, we’re so pleased to be able to offer users of Frogmore Leisure Centre this significant upgrade. Supporting our resident’s health and wellbeing is key, and this gym refresh will bring state-of-the-art additional benefits.”

The timeline for the gym upgrade project, along with details of alternative facilities for members, will be announced in the coming weeks on the Everyone Active website
