Purpose of the processing

The Council processes personal information for the following purposes:

  • investigating victim and offender data
  • to provide the public with updates on community issues
  • to distribute updates and minutes
  • to provide an intervention or investigation
  • to improve the collective understanding of those at risk of involvement in terrorism and enable earlier intervention
  • sharing depersonalised information and / or confidential information about particular individuals / groups between responsible, co-operating, and participating bodies who are members of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
  • to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism, to identify and provide support for people vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism and to address risks of radicalisation
