About personal licences
You must apply for a personal licence if you are the designated premises supervisor on a premises licence
You need a personal alcohol licence if you:

want to sell alcohol at a premises that holds a premises licence

want to apply for more than five temporary event notices in a year

are a designated premises supervisor at a premises that holds a premises licence
You must:

be over 18
-
hold a relevant licensing qualification (in almost all cases)
You don’t need a personal licence to be employed in a pub or other business that sells alcohol. You can only hold one personal licence at a time.
Please note, you no longer need to renew your personal licence when it expires.
