Advice for using animal premises
We advise anyone using animal premises in Hart to:
- check a business has a current animal activities licence, clearly displayed in a public area
- visit the premises before leaving your pet or buying an animal
- see puppies with their mothers (the breeder must either have a licence or an exemption letter from the Council stating why they do not require a breeder’s licence)
- check that riding schools, and people exhibiting animals, have current public liability insurance
