Animal activities and welfare

We advise anyone using animal premises in Hart to:

• check a business has a current animal activities licence, clearly displayed in a public area
• visit the premises before leaving your pet or buying an animal
• see puppies with their mothers (the breeder must either have a licence or an exemption letter from the Council stating why they do not require a breeder’s licence)
• check that riding schools, and people exhibiting animals, have current public liability insurance
