5. Privacy notice - proxy vote
The information on this page relates to the personal data collected by the Elections team under its privacy notice. For details on how to apply for a proxy vote, please visit our ways to vote page.
5.1 Your personal data will be held by the Electoral Registration Officer, Civic Offices, Harlington Way, FLEET, GU51 4AE. Registration number: Z6770403.
5.2 Your address and name and elector number will be passed to the Returning Officer and Hart District Council so that they can print the Proxy Poll card.
5.3 The lawful basis for holding this information is the performance of a public task, in the public interest as provided by electoral law.
5.4 The laws in question are the Representation of the People (E&W) Regulations 2001 and the 2006 Principal Areas Rules and the 2006 Parish and Communities Rules.
5.5 You can object and stop us processing your data for this purpose but if you do then you will not be able to vote by proxy.
5.6 We will not undertake any data profiling or automated decision making or transfer your data outside of the EEA.
