8. Community Governance Review: privacy

Why we collect information about you

We use your data to:

  • receive, record and consider your representations/comments/proposals submitted to the Council during the consultation stages of a community governance review
  • contact you in reference to your representations/comments/proposals during the consultation stages of a community governance review.

Our legal basis for processing this data

  • Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.
  • General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

What information we collect about you

The information we collect about you may include:

  • your name
  • postal address (you must be a Hart resident to make a representation)
  • contact details such as an email address
  • organisation and your position/role where appropriate

How long we keep the information

We keep the information about you for the full duration of the review.

Representations/comments/proposals can be removed if requested during the relevant consultation stage but before publication of the submissions and draft recommendations are published.

Publishing the results

When we publish the results only the first four digits of the postcode will be published. Names and the remaining part of the address will be removed.

We will publish the names of any organisation that submits views, so seek permission to respond on behalf of the organisation before making a submission.
