Transfer or surrender a premises licence
You can transfer a premises licence from one party, partnership, person or company to another.
You must also complete a consent to transfer form (below).
Before you apply you must ensure that the premises licence:
- has not been surrendered
- has not lapsed
- is not the subject of a current or recent prosecution or review
- current holder agrees to the transfer
- has no outstanding annual fees from previous licence holders
You must ensure that the layout of the premises conforms to the plan held by the Council.

The existing premises licence holder must also complete a consent to transfer form.
Your application will take 14 days to process. We will then issue a new premises licence. Please remember to display the new premises licence summary in a prominent position
You will have to pay an annual fee on the date when the original licence was granted.
