Variations and changes to your licence
Once your licence has been approved, you can apply to vary the conditions, change the details on it or report it lost or stolen.
Minor variations
Minor variations must have little or no impact on the licensing objectives. An example might be a small change to the structure or layout of premises.
We must consult and determine your application within 15 working days.
During this time you must display a white public notice at the premises to advertise the minor variation.

Full variations
You must apply for a full variation when you want to make a substantial change to the licence. For example, to increase the amount of time during which you sell or supply alcohol from the premises.
There is a 28-day consultation period and you must advertise the application in a local newspaper. You will also have to display a blue public notice at the premises.
Change the details to your licence or report it lost or stolen
You can tell us about changes to your name, address or contact details, and if your licence has been lost or stolen. Follow these steps:
- return the original document or provide an explanation of what happened to it
- explain the change(s) required within the licence or why you require a copy
- sign and date the letter. If you're signing on behalf of a company, you'll need to print your name and indicate in what capacity you've signed
- pay the £10.50 fee
