Council AGM announces new Chairman and Cabinet members

At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 19 May, the new Chairman and Vice Chairman were elected for 2022/23. The Cabinet members and Chairmen of Hart District Council Committees were also appointed. 

The Council has 33 seats, made up of 11 Conservatives, 10 Community Campaign Hart (CCH), 11 Liberal Democrats and one independent.  

New affordable homes in Hartland Village

Hart District Council, Silva Homes and St Edward celebrated the handover of 36 brand new affordable homes in Hartland Village at an official event held on Thursday 12 May.

Council Tax Energy Rebate

16 May 2022

Eligible residents who have not yet been paid their £150 Energy Rebate have been sent letters this week (w/c 16 May) with details on how to apply.

The letters are to people who do not pay their Council Tax by direct debit or whose details need updating.

The £150 payment is non-repayable and applies to all households in Council Tax Bands A-D.

Welfare officers to support people on a night out

Hart District Council are delighted to announce that, alongside Hampshire Constabulary and Basingstoke and Deane Council, 100 tabards will be supplied to welfare officers working in bars and nightclubs across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Launch of New Housing System

We are extremely excited to launch our new housing system, which provides a streamlined customer journey for those that need housing advice, those who wish to apply for social housing, and those who are facing homelessness. Customers will have a personal digital portal through which they can access Hart District Council’s Housing Services.

Fleet BID is approved for second term

Businesses in Fleet have voted to renew the Fleet Business Improvement District (BID) for a further five years following a ballot on 24 March. 

Fleet BID is a business-led and business-funded partnership formed in 2017. Its vision is to create a vibrant town we can all be proud of, where businesses prosper, communities thrive and visitors choose to shop and do business.
