Launch of New Housing System

We are extremely excited to launch our new housing system, which provides a streamlined customer journey for those that need housing advice, those who wish to apply for social housing, and those who are facing homelessness. Customers will have a personal digital portal through which they can access Hart District Council’s Housing Services.

Fleet BID is approved for second term

Businesses in Fleet have voted to renew the Fleet Business Improvement District (BID) for a further five years following a ballot on 24 March. 


Fleet BID is a business-led and business-funded partnership formed in 2017. Its vision is to create a vibrant town we can all be proud of, where businesses prosper, communities thrive and visitors choose to shop and do business.

Hart's statement on Ukraine

Cllr David Neighbour, Leader of Hart District Council, has responded to the news of developments in Ukraine. 

“Like many other Local Authorities and Central Government, Hart stands with Ukraine against the horror caused by the war, instigated by Russia's invasion.  

Today, Hart’s Chairman Cllr Ambler raised a flag to show our support. 

Fleet Pond car park upgrade

From March, the access road and car park at Fleet Pond will be closed for approximately three months whilst major improvements take place.   

The work is part of Hart District Council’s Fleet Pond Corridor project, which is currently seeing extensive work to widen the northern path between Fleet Pond and the Train station.

Garden waste collections resume

21 January 2022

Garden waste collections are set to resume as staffing levels stabilise following a period of staff absences.

The fortnightly service will restart in Basingstoke and Deane from Monday 24 January 2022 and in Hart from Monday 31 January 2022.

Funding to help with fuel bills
