How's the Council tackling climate change?

We have a Climate Change Action Plan for the period 2023 to 2027

The plan sets our priorities across five key areas:

  • buildings
  • energy
  • transport
  • district-wide activities
  • communications and reporting

Council buildings and energy

Initial focus is on insulation and solar power and creating decarbonisation reports on buildings

Transport

The Council received its first two electric vans in summer 2023 to replace older petrol vehicles

District-wide activities

Supporting everyone in Hart to become a carbon-neutral district by 2040

Communications and reporting

Consulting with residents and improving systems to collect data about carbon emissions and energy use
